Well they killed our thread. We put that up so everyone could follow along with the store being built. We are first and foremost hobbyist and thought everyone would enjoy seeing how we put the store together.

There's another forum that will let us put up the thread so steve will let everyone know when thats up.

I'm still disappointed in RC for taking this down.

Anyway more to come!

They have been killing a lot of threads/posts lately... I can't say I'm surprised... Thanks for keeping us up to date on what all is going on down there... :)

I was enjoying watching it come also but am surprised it stayed up as long as it did to be honest! If I make it to the swap I will swing by. Glad to see a store comming with hobbiest as the owners. Hope the store does good for you guys!!

you would think they would let reef clubs handle thier own admin..
it should be up to us rather we want to see it or not..
that thread was hurting no one, and we all were enjoying it.

Although we may not agree with their decision, it is their site and we must abide by their rules. Not everyone is a "paying" supporter, so RC must seek support by selling business advertising on the site.

I am also surprised it lasted as long as it did. It was nice to see a business created by hobbyists but the owners/employees posting is advertising and is against the rules........and as Art mentioned we all have to follow the rules.
They actually let us get away with quite a bit in the reef club forums but when businesses start posting about their products they usually nip that one pretty quick;)

hey guys, hope all is well. i'm not trying to push the buttons of Rc in any way but when i made the post i intentionally did not post pictures of anything that was for sale. i also made sure to describe the stuff as store use on equipment. the bad thing is almost all of the equip. were using is from rc sponsers. i understand posting for commercial gain, but honestly the intentions were to do a build thread progression similar to the people in the large tank forum. oh well though, i can see it from both sides........ talk to you all soon!<~~~steve

I think it changed when pictures of skimmers you guys will be carrying was posted in the MTRC forum in a thread started by someone looking for a skimmer.

It won't prevent me form visiting the store:D

Chris

Ok we have the threads going again at atlantareefclub d0t c0m also at clubzoa d0t c0m

look around or pm me if you want exact links.

Were getting pretty far along now we should have the huge frag tanks up this weekend.

They charge $500-900 a month for advertising here. They are not hurting for money one bit. Then they charge people (supporters) to be able to use the search features. Its a scam. RC has like 20+ advertisers, at a minimum of $500 a month thats $10,000 a month. Whoever started RC is laughing all the way to the bank about this.

Thats why everybody is trying to start their own forums and get in on the action. If you have a business online that deals with marine supply, its stupid not to advertise here. One of my buddies advertise here, and it kills him when it comes time to pay RC, but 75% of his business comes from RC.

I have missed all this. Just guess I do not read the forum closely enough. Would someone please let me know a little about the place, as we go to Chattanooga often, and have no knowledge of this place.
thanks.

I believe that's the correct name, and I'm sorry I don't know an exact address. Also, I don't know if they're even open yet.

Donny rocks btw!!! You guys should all go support his store when it's open. It's going to be a true hobbyist's store.
