Chattanooga/ETRC Frag Swap

It's actually splitting down the middle. Probably will take years, but one day...if I can stand it...I might have two.

Randy we already talked about it...it's one of those things that you put in your tank because your spouse likes it. I honestly have no idea where I even got it.

Must be nice having something in your tank that your spouse likes. Mine has finally reached that point. Just two days ago she said "That little clownfish in the only good thing in your tank." [Referring to the baby maroon clown I got from Matt] I feel the love....

"That little clownfish in the only good thing in your tank."

I feel you there... If it were up to Ashley, my house would look like Matt's... :) There is a Clown pair per tank requisite at my house... lol Right now my 120 is missing a pair, but they're at Matt's maturing!!!!!!!!! ;)

I feel you on the spouse thing, it seems like whatever I get, it's not colorful enough. But at least she's supportive enough to let me get stuff... I figure I'm pretty lucky in that regard.

Very. I used to have to have it approved by a committee before any changes could be made! My wife is very supportive now and is thorougly enjoying having a reef tank or two in the house, but it's taken over a year to get her to that point, lol.

He's really supportive...I mean he comes to most of the meetings with me! I think he likes to hang out with some you and drink your beer.

He just says stuff like..."I really liked it when you had a brain coral and I could watch it eat."

Barb's been doing this so long with me now that she has become quite a reefer in her own right. She won't do maintenance, but she will monitor, tweak, feed, add chemicals, etc. when I'm out of town. She is also well versed in the compatability issues with fish/corals now, and really has a good eye for nice corals (she's probably seen all that are available to the hobbists in our almost 20 years of marriage).

Pauline actually said last night that she really likes the new tank. I'm not sure if she likes the challenge of "find the goby" but it does make her look at it longer. And she's already done a manual top off, add 2 dixie cups of ro from the bucket.

She totaly ignored the 300. Heck, she could see all the fish from the couch anyhow.

Barb knows more about corals than most of us do!

I'm looking forward to going to another swap. I was turned off by the Chatt swap with $50 frags everywhere - havent been to one since but I guess it's time to check it out again.

Chattanooga is an ideal place if you want to attract as diverse a crowd as possible. I could see people coming from Atlanta, Nashville, and Knoxville.
Don't forget your backward brethren in Pimp-phis!
I plan on coming this year since I got so jealous of the booty hauled from Chattanooga last year. Speaking of booty, I hope your planing on having some stuff there EvilMel :D

hah hah. Yeah well...you know me...can't resist a frag swap. There's always more stuff for my tank that I want to buy!! hah hah.

Cute pic btw.

hehe yea we need to put a disclaimer on the chattanooga forum..... "please don't take anything serious from us".

Sometimes I go back and read things and wonder myself if we should tone things down... because not everyone that reads it knows us personally or know that we are joking.

Anyways... I think a joint swap between us could turn out really great. The chattanooga club has grown alot, but is still a smaller club. However, we have a great location for a swap. Nashville, Knoxville, Chattanooga, Atlanta, Hunsville, Birmingham all within a couple hours drive.

This should be fun. On a serious note... anyone that came to our swap last year and has suggestions on improving it lets start throwing out ideas.

Some of us are totally up for helping out in a major way Brandon. Just let us know!

We can talk about it if you guys come up for the May meeting (which would be great!).

We are coming... Please let us know what we need to bring... i know cheese and beer are ET club favorites anything else?

Brandon

I will be there! :)

Hey Dave you better have some acans ready for me. :D

JK of course. Please let me know what I need to bring. Should I bring a bible and preach to all of you about the dangers of drinking??? :D

I'd be interested in understanding the dangers of drinking moderately. I'm over 21, not pregnant and not driving, so i must be missing something.

The same danger there is with any addictive drug, I suppose. I prefer palytoxin. Oh, the rush of fragging without gloves...

It would be great to have you guys up in May. :)

We haven't talked about the food yet, have we?

You guys are talking about the May meeting and not the one this weekend, right?

That is correct MEL. We are coming up for the may meeting. I guess we could wait for the april meeting to be finished before jumping to the next one. LOL You know how it is, you get to thinking about food and beer and just get all exited!!

Yes I will explain!

You may not be pregnant, driving, and over 21, but if you get too much to drink you might start thinking I am cute and start hitting on me!

That's dangerous, cause I would beat you down! :D
