Im sure this question has been asked a million times but its a PITA to search for anything on RC.

Does anyone know who has good prices on Live Rock in or around OC?

oh damn.. i live down the street from them, never knew they existed. thanks! imma check that place out soon.. theres another store thats down the street from there.. off of peyton and chino hills pkwy near the 71 fwy.

if you don't want to cure the LR, the only place I know of is Coral Oasis. You can buy cycle water and cure LR from them. I did that and my tank be ready in 2 day, don't have to wait for water and every things to be cycle

That is what I figured. 600lbs though? Personally, I don't consider that a deal, but it looks good none the less.

$2 a pound hand picked... i though it was a good deal.. i went through 30 boxes to get the pieces that i wanted.. better than ordering a boox of 60 lbs and not knowing what you are going to get...

True about that. I must admit that those peices are some of the best looking Fiji rock that I have seen. Hand picked is always the way to go. I did the same for my tank, but got away with only 165lbs of Marshall Island since it had a much lower density.

$4.25 per lb. The thing is that If a Fiji rock weighs 40 lbs that same sizes rock in Marshall rock will weigh 18 lbs or less. Some of the higher end Fiji and Tonga rocks are less dense but still not comparable to Marshall's density. Kaelani is probably the closest comparison. People should be aware that price per pound is not always a good measurement when choosing live rock.

Where did you get your Marshall rock from?

Does it have a similar look and feel to Fiji but just less dense?

Most places I've seen sells for $6-10.
