i spoke with Justin this morning and he has been blocked from posting on RC. He was unaware of this thread until then. He tried to respond but found out he was blocked. According to him jrod was aware of the chip and bought the tank anyway. I'm not going to get into the whole hesaid-hesaid deal. These two need to work it out between them. According to the PMs I have seen from Justin he "forgot" to mention it to Jared. If Justin would answer his phone when he is called or return a phone call this could all have been resolved already. Instead he chooses to ignore it in hopes it will just go away.

My wife and I were there the night that Jared came to look at the tank. We were there to get the sand out of the tank. We didn't have a very good experience with Justin either, although he did make a gesture to make it right in the end. I can so though, without a doubt, that there were moldings on the tank when Jared looked at the tank. I was there when Jared showed up, and I was there when Jared left. I sat in the room and even helped answer some of Jared's questions while he was looking at the tank. I saw Jared look at the moldings, ask Justin what they were all about, and Justin told him that they were there from the factory. Also, after Jared left, Justin told me he made the moldings himself, because I was also curious about them. He had the spray paint can sitting on the kitchen counter that he used to paint the molding to match the tank.

I am not biased and I don't know either Jared or Justin personally. I just know what happened while I was there, and am sure that I can put all the speculation to rest.

Hey Jared, on the front piece of glass, at the top, the plastic molding has some cracks in it. Lift the molding up near those cracks and you will find some more chips in the glass. They are a lot smaller than the big one you have already found, but they are there. Justin showed me these after you left that night. He told me they were no big deal and wouldn't matter, and since I am new to this stuff as well, I thought he was telling the truth. Go lift that plastic up and take some pictures of those chips too.

If anyone has any question on what happened when Jared looked at the tank, I can clarify it since I was there first hand. I would like to see this get worked out.

So, the story continues to unfold and more of the misrepresentation and dishonesty arises. And with Justin telling others that he sold the tank to Jarod as is with him knowing the chip (or now we find out many more chips) was there, this proves that he is being revealed. This should tie this matter up and put it to rest as to the facts as they have been presented from someone that was present and heard all.

I guess that puts the speculation to rest. Any chips on the top aren't really an issue, but the one in the pics already posted are flat dangerous. Someone could be seriously hurt if that were to give way while you were viewing or cleaning that glass. Not to even mention the damage that would have happened to the room when 150 gallons of saltwater, sand, and rocks came crashing out. There is a chance that it may just crack across and flood the room, but there is also a good chance with it being plate glass that it could just burst all at once. The magfloat in his post was enough for me to believe that he was intentionally trying to hide the chip. Why else would you leave your magfloat stuck to the front glass right where the chip was even?

Thanks for Coming forward Garret. I have not seen the other chips, but i am going to get that new panel so those will be taken car of.

I just read the PM's on myCOMAS. When you left that night he showed me the stuff he used to make the trim. He had the paint and a little piece of the trim he used. I didn't know about the big chip on the side, he never said anything about it, but he did show me the small ones at the top. He said "since you're not the one buying the tank, check this out...(he showed me the chips at the top)...it's not a big deal and won't cause any problems, but this is why I got it so cheap when I bought it". I am sorry that I didn't tell you about it, but looking back, I ddn't know you or that these little chips made a difference, and I didn't know about the big chip. He told me that he made the corner pieces for looks.

There is nothing worse than a liar or a thief. Justin, after reading those PM's, I personally want to say you are both. You showed me that trim and paint, and told me you made those pieces. You also showed me, a complete stranger, those flaws in the tank that you didn't show the guy who was wanting to buy it. I knew right then and there that I couldn't trust a single word out of your mouth.

I am not in to bashing people on forums, or badmouthing others, but Justin purposely ripped Jared off, and I just want to make that known.
