Chemistry question

I have had my 75 gallon tank up and running for about 2 years. My water tests show the following results: ph 8.2, nitrites 0, nitrates 30ppm, ammonia 0, calcium 530. I realize the ca is high from my reef salt mix. I have not done any supplementation. We keep mostly fish/anenomies/kenya'n trees (propagate like mad). Is my water quality good enough to put in lps?

The nitrate level is high enough that it might be an issue. I agree that alkalinity is critical. It should be kept in the 7-11 dKH range.

Thx for the responses. Unsure why my nitrates are as high as they are I'll just have to do a couple extra water changes. I unfortunately don't have an alkalinity test kit I'll go pick one up today.

The alk depletes faster than the calcium and magnesium , I test it every 5 days or so in my mixed reef tanks. Calcium is more a once a month thing with magesium every month or two.

BTW, What's the salinity?

That is a very high calcium level for such low SG, but it should be safe even at normal seawater SG, around 1.0264.
