I have really high ceilings, and my parents definitely don't want me on a ladder over my tank lol. And ok that'll work. thanks for the suggestion

Just go to Lowes and get them to do the cutting and bending. They have a tool for bending conduit and tools for cutting it too.

Maybe someone can give you dimensions. Might try the DYI forum.

hahaha They haven't changed toooo much. I'm still busy screwing stuff up and tinkering around with my car and whatnot. Ill ask around on the DIY forum and see what Lowes can do for me. I'm just excited to get my it2080 over my tank finally lol

I made this out of 3/4" galvinized pipe to hang two D-120's over my 90g standard dimensions. Being a plumbing contractor, I threw this together in minutes! You may be able to find someone to cut and thread the pipe for you. The other materials needed are (4)- 3/4" 90's/ elbows and two 3/4" blind flanges. I used the flanges to mount the hanger to the back of my stand. Or you could just run the two 3/4" risers down towards the floor and attach to the back of your stand like bhazard did with his conduit hanger. If I had the room behind my tank/ stand I would have mounted mine to the back of my stand like bhazard did so I could raise/ lower it easily. Clean it up real good and hit it with a few coats of Krylon, hang your light, and enjoy!

Installed on tank. Lights were 13" above water surface in this pic. I have them at 11" now. If I go any lower there's a "shadow" between the two d-120's because of the 10" wide glass center brace. Crocea on the SB is doing great!:thumbsup:

Most of us favor the Evergrow lights, because RC sponsors a US seller that sells them, and offers a US warranty on them. A lot of us have had good experiences with them, and both companies keep good communication.

I'm also interested in these lights, but being from Europe this US seller doesn't make much sense to me - it would probably be cheaper to order directly from China.

Does anyone have experience in ordering directly, from what website and which seller (eBay, Alibaba...?). If someone has a link please post or PM.

93 cube coverage nova a4

I'm setting up a 93 gallon cube mixed reef tank. I have 2 nova a4s on my current tank. They seem to barely cover my 75 at 12" height. The 93 gallon is 30x30. I don't think the 2 would cover the tank unless I mount them high, which then I would have light spillage. The lights have 90 degree optics on them now. I was thinking of adding a tek 24" 4 bulb to the tank also. Should I add the tek? I already have it. Any help would be appreciated thanks

If you have them then why not? Seems like a quick fix.
Have you tried removing the optics or changing them to 120 degree optics?

I have actually been thinking about adding 2 T5s to my LED setup since I like the T5 actinics better and color options.

I've got just one IT2040/D120 hanging over my 93 gallon cube - Looks like it's enouhg light for my SPS dominated tank - but we'll see. I know a single 250 Watt MH was plenty, so I don't see why this wouldn't. That said I won't be able to report long term success with it on this tank since it's in the process of being converted to a 200 Gallon DD
