Chinese LED Lights

I don't think so, as when I first inquired I was told that unit did not but I asked if he had one that did and that is what the quote was for. I didn't know at the time of that post above that you couldn't link, so I cannot link now. But either way, I would imagine if you contact Brian he will get you squared up. Again, they are on back-order but the net of it all so far:

1. Equivalent to IT2040 (Less one fan, they seem to have more flexibility than Evergrow) with Moon lights
2. Choose Bridgelux, Epistar, Cree (more money for Cree $55 per unit)
3. Whites run about 90 to 100 lm/w
4. Remote Control w/ hanging kit
5. About $160-$180 Cheaper than Evergrow
6. He did say he would send extra LED's but the one outstanding is it wired in parallel or series

So these are wired in series

Brian Sun confirmed all the Gehl units are serial circuit wired. The unit I ordered was called full spectrum led with moonlights. The it120 equivalent is called the ireef.

I need help. I've been fighting with the idea of using full spectrum leds to my 235 build. My tank is 84"x24"x27" and I am wonder which way to go. To cover a tank 84" I figure ill need a 3-6 fixtures depending which ones I choose. I have a budget around $1500 maybe a little more. I like a 15k look. Im having a hard time figuring out which custom layout to go with since I have no experience using leds and dropping this much money I would hate to make a mistake. This is more than I spent for my tank. Any thoughts would be helpful. You can pm me if you feel more comfortable. Thanks

The fans also only turn on at high power. The unit is silent at lower power.
Sound strange, my fans turn on just on 10% of dim. They are connected directly to the led drivers. More power you ask more power to the fans. I'm thinkink how mod this aspect. One way is to put a thermistor between drivers and the fan and of course change the fans with two much quiet

Changing them with 2 quieter 80mm fans would be somewhat easiest. With my skimmer and Vortech going, I hardly notice them.

Cidly actually makes some other pretty cool lights.

Check out the ZA series on the Cidly homepage (google it). It is like a Nova A4 on steroids with a built in controller. Price is reasonable too.

those ZA look pretty nice, do you know what they want for it. tried to email but haven't heard anything yet

With the IT120s, is it easy to swap around the leds...ie is it a twist on and off or does it involve soldering. And what leds are required to add the 405-420nm part of the spectrum and how many? Cheers in advance!

What do you think of the folowing layout with 90 degree optics for a 75g with a canopy.

If I got this right I think its a 1.5 B:W ratio which should be around 15,000K

28 Royal Blue
14 W3 = 8500k
4 W4 = 10000-14000k
4 violet (420)
3 Red (660)
2 Green

Thanks in advance!

The only thing it says on the driver is 520ma

Can you trace the circuit from the front of the light to see how many LEDs are in series that has the bad driver?

In series means, +LED- to +LED- to +LED- to +LED- .....

Without that, we have no way to tell what driver is suitable unless you can contact the original manufacturer.

If you get a controller like Reef Angel or Apex, can you use these to dim these lights (D120) effectively?

I am ordering Reef Angel next week myself but I don't think any existing reef controller can control the D120 with dial dimmer unless the light come out with new PWM dimming ability.

For Reef Angel there are 2 options:

1. Analog Dimming
2. PWM Dimming

How would analog work? Not sure what PWM is
