Chinese LED Lights

I know this has probably been asked before but in the middle of ordering a couple units and cant find it at the moment.

Is it better to use green 525nm or Cyan 495nm?

EVERGROW DIY IT 2040 Price for customers: 320USD/pc ( free shipping to USA, Canada, EU)
Payment: PayPal
PayPal fee: 5%
So total amount : 336USD

i was shocked. its cheaper to get them from reefbreeders who resells evergrow units. what is up with that???

^^ at one time they were offering a discount for RC members. I know RC wasn't happy with the promotion the company was getting and shut down the old thread but it's worth a try. And I've learned with them the first price is never the only price. They will price match or beat you just have to hussle it out of them.

Anyone else notice that it's Bhazards tank on there website.. That's pretty cool.

I was the first one to test it out, and I gave them the pics. Great light, but $336 is a little pricey.

It's smarter to buy the larger 24" unit from Reefbreeders for $329 than to buy direct as of now. The 24" unit has the same amount of leds, but its spread out more to cover a 40 breeder better.

Buying direct is better if you have a large order (12 or more), as you get a significant discount.

Hate to bump my own post but I need to know asap lol.

I'm getting several in to do a DIY actinic build, and need to know so I can get drivers on order :)

They are all different, and you would need to ask them. Are you looking for forward voltages? LM/watt?

bhazard, what are you thoughts on the rapidled kits??

im thinking about their 90 g kit for $480

I like their heatsinks. I'm using two (or 3) of them for my next build.

As far as the kits, you are better off putting your own together from multiple sources. It'll be cheaper and you'll get a wider variety of leds.

Well I'm not impressed with what I've learned the 24 inch unit through reef breeders only because like bhazard said it's the same amount of leds as the 15 inch units and haw 51 total Leds 24 white 24 blue and 3 moonlight I'm not a fan of 5050 ratio and there's no other colors just white and blue but that's just my opinion
