Chinese LED Lights

New member here... Not sure if you guys have discussed this yet or not but do you all know anything about the E27 54w LED lights from china? I have a 40 gallon breeder and want to go from T5s to LED. I was thinking about building a setup for 4 of these lights to put over my tank. Rough estimate on cost is about 120 for the lights and maybe 20 for the build. Any body have any suggestions or input on this idea?

Maybe a link so we don't have to go looking for the info...?

I think those are white and blue only from what I have seen and for the cost (around 140) you could just get an evergrow or reefbreeder value type fixture and hang it a little higher.

Not a good idea. Those 54w bulbs from ebay are not run at 54w so they can make less heat. Maybe 38w or so at max.
For a 40 breeder, one or two Reef Breeders Value/ Evergrows would get the job done.

I have a question on programming a Photon fixture. When programming the "Custom" settings, do I need to "Save" each step (each hour, for example) or do I set each step, preview, and then "Save"?

The Photon has the same controller as the EverGrow that we carry. You do all 24 steps assuming you are doing hourly, then run preview, then save, then return. Then unplug the light and plug it back in, if you did it right it should pick up the current time and continue as if nothing ever happened.

Thank you. I will give it a go.

I have a 58 gallon (36" long, 18" wide, 21" tall), what would everyone recommend that I get to grow mostly LPS and a few sps. One D120? Two D120's? Or one Photon 32? Or is there anything else out that would be more suitable and not too expensive?

here are the par readings I got off my photon 32 x2 over my 155 gallon tank and the fixtures are 12'' off the water.and I am using 90 degree optics on the blues only and no optics on the whites or other colors.
