Bought it, 60X36X30 to replace my current tank. Starphire glass where it needs to be, Now to figure out the lights. Was thinking 2 400w on the Lumenarc reflectors, but I have 0 experience with separate pieces as I have always liked the all in 1 units. Think these will work? Going to use the dimable ballasts for them,

also looking for the right t5 combo. any suggestions?

Sounds like it will be a great setup. Get some different opinions on those dimmable ballasts.

2 Lumenarcs should be good for that beast. I don't know that I would fiddle fart around with dimmable ballasts. Use T5's and maybe some LED to set up your dusk/dawn. I'd do 2 ATI Blue Plus and 1 KZ Fiji Purple 60" lamps. That purple wont take away from the eeriness of blues too much but will bring out pink colors that just blue lamps hide.

That sounds like a cool size for a tank.

The Ice Cap 660 ballast will run 3 60" 80 watt lamps, actually overdrives them a little but a good system that will give you some good PAR as well.

This is with a UVL 75/25 near the front and an ATI Blue Plus in the back. The lamp is close to the Fiji Purple

Aquaillumination. The Teks would also work but are about a half inch wider (front to back) so if space is a concern go with the others.

ATI Makes a 10 x 60 Powermodule fixture if you want to go that route. You could even use the 48" version if you hang the fixture above the tank. 48" T5's cover a 60" tank really good, you just can't put high light critters out at the ends.

On a 30" tall tank I wouldn't try Maximas on the sand so if you want clams stick to the halides.

As far as reflectors Aquaillumination is better than the TEKs. Reefgeek might also carrt the ATI retro reflectors which are even better, you would have to call on those.
