I have a 3 1/2 to 4" Crocea clam. Its placement was between two pieces of rock in a shallow crevice. He has attached himself there for several months now. As of lately, he has repositioned himself. Angled slightly facing the other rock. The mantle often rests on the LR. Some of the mantle is starting to be shadowed by another piece of LR. The part of the mantle that is being shadowed we are talking maybe 15% of the mantle.
He seems happy. Fully open with great mantle extention. My Q is... Should i leave him be? Or reposition him>? I would like to keep him in the same area as the mantle colors are very vibrant there. Also a great center view. If i move him I fear he will most likely shift with time again.. Possibly shrink the crevice alittle, giving him less room for movement or shifting?
My clams are fast grower's! My bright blue stripe maxima has gained a half inch in size.
