I'm not sure where they planned to house them in the new building. He said he'd likely put them in a seperate display, but I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Update on my Clarions; little guy (about 2") is in my main tank. I changed my plan as he was getting picked on in QT tank by the bigger Clarions destined for the Steinhart. I did formalin dip then put him in after only a day in QT (i hope i don't pay for this later). Immediately 5" purple tang started thrashing him and chasing him right into holes, i hate that fish. I turned out the lights, put everyone to bed early. Today, 2" Clarion is chasing the evil 5" purple tang, all hail the new ruler. Biggest Clarion in QT eats pellets from my wife's hand already, he think's he's a dog. These guys are great, so far so good...

I have no idea when the next shipment will come. All i know is i didn't want to take the chance of missing this one as it's been a long long time in between. They need a pretty high price to justify the collection as the islands are a long boat ride from the mainland, so i doubt they flood the market. But on the other hand, looks like demand is strong for more so why not make another trip or two? I guess we'll see...

I was just at Country Critters and saw them. They are about 5 inches and have quite a temper. A bit out of my price range. I think they are overpriced, $4000.00. Well welcome to Long Island, everything is more expensive. They also had a Joculor, baby africanus, rhinopias. I don't know if you can tell male from female in clarions but one had a much more orange on the upperhalf of the body. I was told they also come with a certificate of authenticity. They also have Japanese zebra horned sharks. Don't see them anywhere. Regards, Tim

GreshamH, I certainly didn't want to make it sound easy, if i thought it was i wouldn't have bought four. I believe it's some 400 (Wikapedia says 700km) from the mainland, that's a long boat ride there and back for a few aquarium fish. Lots of reasons we haven't seen them in about 10yrs...

~20 years ago for the last legal large shipment. We brought in a handful back in 2001 but no juvis.
