Clarkii and condy

So quick question I have a purple tipped condy and it is pretty big like the disc in about 7-8 inches across but I recently added a clarkii and it harasses my condy... It still opens up great during the day and stuff but my question is will the clarkii end up killing it because I know these nems don't usually host... It was an u educated buy and my lfs told me that it was good for clowns he was obviously just looking for the sale... Going back I would have gotten an rbta but anyways should I consider giving the nem a new home or will it be okay? Thanks

Hard to tell. They don't host clowns like you mentioned so the fish may be protesting the anem. If the tank in question is the one in your signature, I would rehome it and get a anemone that will host a clown

RBTA is known to host clarkii and is generally considered one of the least difficult host species, which doesn't necessarily mean it's easy.

The decision is made by the clown, and clarki's like maroons will usually take any nem given and many times I've seen that in form of condy.

Condy is known to have a stronger sting, usually the bigger concern is for fish that contact it, and if it's that big it should be no issue as far as hosting your clarki.

I had a condy that hosted a mated pair of Cinnamon clowns for years. It took the clowns a week to acclimate to the condy, but after that they lived together with no issues.

Good luck with yours.

They definitely seem to be fine during the day the nem get all big and stuff just at night he always seems to be on the move and before I got the clarkii it stayed put for like four months and now it's almost every night moving which is nerve-racking because I have a bunch of corals

A condy will keep moving as long as it's not happy with its situation, about which it can be quite picky. If you want an easy mostly-stay-in-place nem, try a flower anemone. However, I don't know if a clarkii will accept a flower anemone.
