clarkii in anemone pics (large)

Well, I was only mad at my male (supposedly) clarkii for trying to kill his mate for about one day. It took about that long to realize that he was just doing what clownfish do. I got a couple pictures of him in his anemone

Who can be mad at this face.

Nice pictures! I'm surprised it was the male, most of the time I read about females hosting first and refusing to let their mates near (at least for a while).

They were spawning but he got mad after the 5th nest and beat her up until she was damn near dead. I had to pull her and put her in the sump to save her life. It was just like an episode of Cops but he wasn't wearing a sleeveless T-shirt or drinking PBR.

Thanks, glad you like the pics. That's a very large Green Bubble Tip Anemone. Here is a pic of his ex with a new mate in the same anemone. She is about 5" long.

Beautiful Clarkii Dan, I ordered a pair and they only sent one. She is awaiting her mate.

Nice looking fish.

I am so used to living where most everything I could want will eventually make it to an LFS or they can find it at local wholesalers. About the only time I mail order is for price. It's easy to get spoiled and foget the rest of the world isn't like that.

I think there are only a few clownfish (my interest) that I haven't seen in local fish stores here.

Dan, I had a chance to buy two beautiful clarkii from a local store but passed them up as one had his tail a bit ragged. Wish I had now.
I bought this pair from reefermadness but they got confused and only sent me the one.
So am waiting on the other.
They are my favorite of the clownfish and hope in the future to give a try at raising some of them.
