Clarkii popeye

Clown has had popeye since Christmas. It will (and is starting to) blister and then be a little less bulged. There appears to be a bubble in the front of the eye too. I've tried seachem kanaplex but it didn't seem to have much impact. Fish eats very well but it would seem she doesn't see very well if at all although it still moves.

Do I risk putting in QT and treating with another antibiotic like maracyn 2 or is it better to continue to wait it out?

From all the reports I've seen here it seems Epsom salt is the most effective treatment for this. It would definitely be the first thing I try if one of my fish had a pop-eye.

+1 it works every time. 1 tablespoon per 5g every day until its gone. Just had a PJ cardinal that was in a bucket with new sand and it irritated both of its eyes causing serious swelling. 3 days of Epsom salt and the issue is gone

I'm treating with Epsom at the recommended dose. Swelling has decreased but a solid "blister" has formed so it's hard to tell if thing are improving or not. Fish is healthy as ever. Eats well, protects her anemone, and keeps the male in line.

Is it normal for an injury to take this long to improve or am I looking at an infection?

Could be infected since it was a month ago when you noticed it. I would feed enriched frozen variety to see if that helps and continue with the Epsom, if not a separate tank will be required to treat with antibiotics.
