clear plastic or acrylic dowels

Does anyone know where to purchase these? I ordered a 12 inch aqualight to go over my 3 Pico. I also have just put a Skilter filter that has a protein skimmer on the tank. Because of the filter, the light will not fit over the tank with the legs. I am looking for some way to put 4 clear dowels on the bottom of the fixture and place the bottom of them on the counter on either side of the tank This will suspend the light over the tank. Shigara mentioned clear tubes. This may work. Where would I get them. TIA

Kermits has the clear tubes, the acrylic rods you can get at Michaels "sometimes". . I have bought them there in the past in several different sizes.
