Climbing Carpet Anemone!!!

Has anyone ever had this occur before? My Blue Carpet began to climb the glass after being in the same place for almost a year. I did a 75 gallong water change (1/4 on my large display) and it began to climb back down. Granted it has been awhile since I did a large water change and I believe it was letting me know it was that time.

Weird. I had a haddoni that would move if it got hungry (ie. if I went too long without giving it a feeding, it ate a lot), but mostly it would move rocks around and stuff, I don't remember it climbing glass (after 3 years it outgrew my tank and I had to sell it). My current 2 carpets, both gigantea's, hang out at the bottom of the tank and have never really moved (I don't go too long without feedings though just to be sure!)

Well mine had stayed in the same place since I got it and it gets fed plenty (i.e. 2X every week). I kinda thinking it was because the water needed to be changed.

Well here is some crappy pics of the carpet climbing the glass. He finally settled back to where he was. It was the weirdest thing I have ever seen.

How big is that Haddoni? Seems kind of small for being in a tank almost a year. My guess is that you aren't doing enough waterchanges?

When fully opened its about 12". Oh and the tank is 8' long and 30" tall. He gets feed twice a week (good chunk of squid with Selcon and Garlic). I agree with you on the water change bit. Never been a big fan of water changes but I plan on staying on top of them this time. Also I believe my Alk was up way high because I was dripping Kalk.
