Clkwrk's 180gBB SPS/LPS tank setup and progression log

Looks great! Can you take a picture of the lip of the stand...like a top down view? I wanna see if there is a gap there and if not, how you achieved filling it.

All of them are flush with the tank except the bottom front if I had the tank just a little more forward it would have been flush also . I am simply going to run a thin bead of silicone around the bottom tank trim for protection.

looks great but Im curious how you got the molding to be so flush to the tank?? I guess the original canopy sat on the edge of the tank ?

Is almost there but never good enough :D I do the same thing over and over always moving thing around in the tank .
I re did my center of my 200 G tank this past week and I find so many dead turbo snails back under the rocks about 30 of them .
I got some dinos so it kill all my snails my tank looks like crap with all the cyno but is getting better .
How much ozone you adding in your tank ?
Are you ever going to treat your tank for the RB?
You doing very good job with all of the woodwork and the tank .
Take care.

schulace123- thanks!

nUgZ- :D Thanks

poknsnok-Thanks! The main part of the canopy is 1/16th bigger than the top of the tank on the sides and front. This was so that there was some room but not enough to really be visible. It was all in careful cutting and planning . My last stand I built had 1/4 " gap all around top and bottom . I wanted to fix that this time.

Zoom-Thanks!I agree when I can't tinker I am not having fun I always have to tinker with something....

BTW I found 30 or more empty snail shells also. But I also found lots of large rock crabs and some mithrax crabs during the reaquascape. I only found some of the crabs when I broke large rocks open to make them the size I wanted.

Right now my ozone is off and has been for a few months .It will be back online soon though. As for the rb's I am not sure. I know I will not do an intank treatment again . So it will have to happen in qt.

Okay I now have my very own a200-1260 and my loaner can go home after a good cleaning .

here is a comparison between the custom loaner and mine which is 1/2 inch from standard height. 1/2" taken from cup.

redone drain line to accomadate a feed line for the skimmer.

I am also redoing my lines for chiller ,frag, tank and more. Plus a good cleaning up of the cords to restore order undermy tank once again.

Very nice skimmer are you going to put it under the stand ? I have both of mine out in the open, but no Baby in the house
:D

Thanks I like it alot and its a beast . It is under the stand now the above gravity pics are with my skimmer .The loaner was fed via MJ1000. I had to redo my return lines to fit this skimmer as they were in the way now since this skimmer is taller.

Now I just got finish cleaning up my wires and lines for the chiller,ca reactor, frag tank and ect.

Okay I am one tired person but its all done . I redid my chiller line converting from 1/2" line to 3/4" to get more flow. Redid my ca rx feed and got rid of excess plumbing, redid the returns and cleaned up the wires. Once again it is all nice and tidy

how are your heat issues under that stand?? with halides, a refugium light and a chiller seems to me it would be brutally hot under there..

If you look at the last pics you will see a temp reading of the air in the stand. It was 82 .

I also have heat exhaust outside.

Next task is to finish my side access panels .Plus I need to redo my wiring for my lighting and Tunzes to clean all of that up nice and tidy . Right now its a mess :lol Can you imagine 5 ballasts, 6 tunze drivers,6 tunze transformers, wavebox controller, Multi controler, single controller, moonlight power supplys,Aqua controller + all its wires for the probes and computer connection and finally all the power cords associated with that stuff . Its a nightmare  and I feel I will be up late once again .

Okay need some thoughts :D

I am working on my side panels . Should I mount my controller flush ......Meaning cut out holes and have the front of the controllers flush with the outside of the side access panel?

I have an Aquacontroller, Ranco temp controller, Tunze 7095 multi controller, A tunze single controller and a wave box controller which are all behind the tank now .

My other option is to just mount them to the outside but I think flush would work better and look better.

Any thoughts anyone?

Here is the idea

side-panel.jpg
.

Or should I split them between both side? The only problem I see is if I upgrade something or get rid of something . In that case it would cost me 50 bucks to replace the 2 side panels Since I have used all of my sheeting down to some scraps.

Ahh decisions decisions
