Okay here is to another late night working on the tank .

I have all my Tunze wires are cleaned up and run nicely . I also have the controllers in place and in operation. Just some trim pieces left and I will have to find another project.

How did you mount all these as they are not all the same depth?

I am thinking about doing something simaler with my tank.

Thanks,
Whiskey

taflaw- Thank you !

Whiskey- Each componet has 2 blocks of wood and a cross piece holding them in . Looks like a U :D

scared me says taking a break under your sig, wasnt sure if that was a new slogan for banned...

is the panel removeable? looks awsome btw.

onehundred20- Thanks! That panel is removable .Just slides up then inward. As for taking a break its just that I haven't been and won't be on RC as much as normal .I have had a few rough spots recently with the tank and I am just taking it easy as things settle back in and continue growing. This tank has taken alot of my tank time and now that its complete I can fiddle with the other tanks in the house throughout the hoilday season.

Steve-Not yet I kinda like the clean look . If I trim it out I can only picture a picture frame look and if so it would need to be real small. Unless I made a whole plate and router all edges or something.

Thanks !2x 250wde Phx14k and icecap ballasts. Bulbs are in PFO mini pendants.

It's an old setup all Softies and LPS the leather in the bottom left is 9 years old the large female clown is around the same age and most of the other corals have been with me for 4+ years. I have also move alot of corals out to other tanks because my anemone has grown very large with no end in sight yet . Fully expanded it takes up a very large portion of the tank more than what the picture above shows .

Here is a picture of it before I had to move the tank across the room to put my 180 up. BTW the rockwork in the pictures above was just thrown together as I had no time to do it all nice because I already had all the corals out of my 120g waiting to go into the 180 which wasn't in place . It was a large task to setup the 180 as I had to place musical tanks and each tank was jammed.

Here's the 90 before the move.

Lets just say I made a poor choice when trying to rid my tank of byropsis. I should have left well enoigh alone and just continued to trim and rid as much as I could like I had been doing . But no I had to get the bright idea about changing out my live rock  . Now that everything has happened and I have had time to think about things I can only think of a few triggers or possible causes . I also realized maybe all those sponges that grow in our tanks over the course of the years actually is very benifical to the tanks . I changed all of my rock out for new stuff which I cooked prior just like when I first setup my 120 . After it was ready I did the right side first then a week later I took out the rest and swapped it out . Surprisingly my nitrates finally dropped in the tank and then a few weeks later I started seeing problems then all at onec day by day old tank raised colonies, new frags, old wilds ect it efected all species except pocci  go figure. One thing that keeps gettingme inthe back of my mind is some of the rock I got was not fresh import it was from another tank and the rock was sold to the LFS. I assumed it was safe and it may very well be but it could have been in a FO tank or FOWLR and treatment could have been used.

Who knows all I can do is just hang in and let things balance back out if problems continue I am pulling those rocks JIC.

That sucks!

I have crazy algae too! It's so hard not to just try to nuke it. Lost a beautiful stylophora to it. Now several SPS seem to be strugling. Very frustrating!

messy1messmer- I will dig up some pics.

Pitstop yes I started back up recently . I stopped for a bit as I wanted to see what effect it really had and I notice alot of difference after I stopped . This was before the rock removal.

On a side note I am having thoughts of changing the way I will stock the tank. I am thinking of thining out more sps to make better room for my lps and to give the sps I choose to keep way more room to grow out . I wanna move away from the fruit stand and I wanna focus on larger colonies and large lps. This way I maybe able to simplfy my setup be removing excess flow and lighting at the same time really increasing the overrall look of the tank. My 90 is the inspiration because its grown in and has larger corals and the huge anemone. Eventually if I don't get another larger sps/lps system I will have to get rid of the anemone because it really is huge . Or I can get brave and move it over to the sps tank. I am not too worried about it moving on me because it has not moved in 1.5 years but I don't wanna ruin its happy state. Also my clowns would have to move with it as it would break my old maroons heart.

Ahhh decisions decisions......

Here is a pic is somewhat bad an older. I have done well at keeping it out of my pics as I couldn't find a newer one and its there.

onehundred20-Thx, Byropsiss is a nasty persistant algea that no critter seems to like to eat. Even when my nutirents were super low it was still growing away .

Here is a end of July pictureHere is where you will se the rock difference also.
