The tips twist and they're bigger then a quarter.

Awesome I was only seeing the daisys on my comp screen cause I had the browser box downsized and your pic is huge lol.

Yes I only seen a few in my time hunting for cloves I have seen 3 different types that are very big.

I will try to get some pics of these later ( maybe this weekend) I have to go to these LFS and take pics. I how I can get some from this one LFS. :D

I could buy them then trade them for some of your yellow tips if you want?

I am still waiting to see if they color up cause right now they just look like pink haze cloves

I like this shot

Sweet shot! But those aren't the ones I'm talking about, you have a large colony with yellow tips that you've posted a few times.

You should buy that colony you were talking about, $70-80 is actually a good deal for those.

I would pay 74 for a sps not no cloves LOL I will get a few polyps thats all I need I am sure the LFS will trade with me.

Those are the one ones. They lost their color so I am waiting for the to color up. When I look at them I see the tips are turning yellow again.

I don't have many cloves but tried to get a nice macro shot of a single polyp clove i have that has some how spread in 3 different areas in my tank! this pic doesn't do the clove justice because the flash is on so the color is dull and yellow.

Love everyone elses!

I can frag some out, but they will be pricey (but cheaper than most places) at $5 per polyp. All you need is around 5-6 polyps to get a nice colony going.

i love cloves! they grow realy slow for me

Do you have a big colony ? of small frags try moving them in moderate to low flow

Ok prop time ! :D

So I did some cutting and gluing here are some pictures

The tools
tank2001.jpg

For Cloves that grow more matt like together you will need a blade to cut them off ( you can probably try to pull them off with fingers but I will have to try that later )

example or matt like growth

out the water

tank2005.jpg

Find a section you want to cut. When you have picked out what section just cut the root system, So its like you are cutting the roots from the main colony. after that you can put blade under what you sectioned off and lift with your fingers.

This type of growth pattern are more like stalk that are seperated
you can pull these off with your fingers near the base.

under what I just pulled off

you can pull as many stalks off as you want and glue them together or seperately

I will post where I glued the frags in my tank later happy clove keeping ; )

its about the size of a soft ball

Do you see little tube things growing out the colony ?
The coloy pictured above that I just picked pieces off with my finger is not growing and when you don't frag the colony they won't expand. It depends how the root system is. I only have 2 colonies like that and I have to pick at them or frag so they will grow.
