Clown behavior!

I dont know if this is normal, or if the clown is sick, or if the clown is retarded, but it is not acting like some of the clowns that i have seen. The clown fish is actually sitting in the anemone with its whole body covered and not moving very much. once every so often, he will shift positions, but he is not acting like some of the other clowns that ive seen. sometimes he will just lie in the open anemone for long periods of time without moving. his face is usually burried in the tentacles. so far i have not seen him swimming around at all....just lies still. Can someone give me some advice as to what my problem is...if i have a problem or educate me on what this behavior means? i am well aware of the symbiotic relationship between the clown and the anemone, but this does not look normal. thanx a million guys! Oh, and please excuse my ignorance!

Your clown is loving life Clowns will sometimes bathe in their anemone, and if they are really enjoying themselves, they will sometimes just relax and "lay" on the anemone without moving. This is not a bad sign - it is a sign that the clown is relaxing and feeling perfectly comfortable. It is not something to be alarmed by

I would agree with BonsaiNut. I would add that if the clown is new to the tank, it maybe just getting used to the new tank, and the anemone is the safest (read most comfortable) place for it to be.

Yup, as Mr. Nut and J-man said, your clown seem's happy. Just let him enjoy himself and don't stress it.
