Clown Fish behaviour

I've had my pair of CF for approx 5 weeks now ( they came with the set up) lately as you can see from the clip one is sitting in the rock work. It does this several times then returns to swimming normally. He/she II believe its a female, is eating well swimming normally at all other times and is not labouring breathing. She always returns to exactly the same spot to sit and never "rests" anywhere else.

I read up and know that CF have often different personal behaviours but am wondering, is this possibly a sign of breeding ?

Also the algae on the rock work came with the setup (it was really bad) my CUC have cleaned a lot off but have left these bit. Would there be any reason for this?

if you think that is strange behavior you will really freak out when they start to spawn... .Remember with clown fish as in life the Female is in charge.. if you watch them close you can see the male will do as she commands him.....

Our Female CLOWN Runs the reef .And Loved to bite me..

Yeah I've read that' I've saw some shaking and nudging etc but not holding my breath on spawning.

She def is a character. I try to keep hands out but having a FWT background I find this discipline hard lol, when I do though shes quick to remind me to take them out.

First few times she scared the dung out of me.

My male Ocellaris bites me almost every time I put my hands in. Usually going after my gold rings but getting skin now and then. I've seen mine do the dance and clean their favorite rock but haven't seen eggs yet. Good luck with yours Davycc, and I sent water flying the first time he got me. :)

Cheers Shawn

In 40 years of keeping fish I've never splashed as much water out of a tank as I did the first time she tagged me

You shoulda seen the look on my wife's face when she came running into the room. She though the blood running down my hand was from the clown's bite. She laughed pretty hard when I told her it was from scraping my hand along the tank trim. I think I even got the ceiling wet, lol.
