clown stressing new BTA

Just got a new BTA today and my tomato clown although happier than a pig in poo seems to be stressing the nem out a bit. Ticked all the boxes at the LFS before i brought it home: made sure foot was in good shape, mouth nice and tight and that it was eating. I got the nem acclimated just fine and put on the rocks. Everything was going good. Then the clown found his new bestest buddy and went to town doing what clowns do in anemones. Now 12 hours later the nems mouth is gaping a bit and seems a little more pale then when i brought him home this morning.

Anyone know of a good way to isolate the nem from the clown and let him get a chance to get used to things in the tank before the clown beats him up anymore?

First, what are your water parameters, and what lights do you have?

How big is the BTA and how big is your clown?

Could put a strawberry basket over the BTA to keep the clown out of it, while still letting it get flow and light.

The nem is 6" across opened and the clown is approx 3"

SG is 1.024
PH is 8.1
dKH is 10
NO2 is less than .3
ammonia is 0
water temp is 78

I did end up covering the nem with a strawberry container to keep the clown out. Seems to be doing better, mouth is less open overall.. Clown snuck in somehow this morning so i had to shoo him out and re-secure the basket..
