clownfish advice

Hello,

I need some help with pairing clownfish together. I had 2 false percula 1 m 1 f, the female jumped ship about 3 weeks ago. I wanna get a pair of naked clowns will they be OK in the tank together? The tank is a 75 gallon. Thanks

If you are introducing new clowns to the tank. Make sure they are of similar size and move a bit of rock work around. I can't say if the new pair would really like the 1 male very well. But they might work it out and keep their own territory.

That remaining male could easily become a female . It might work but I personally wouldn't risk it. Perhaps folks who have had long term success with more than a pair of clowns in a 75 g or smaller will chime in. I know you can sometimes get by with 3 of the same species as long as only one is female.

it's usually the smaller fish (male) that jumps to escape the (larger) female.

get rid of the third wheel before adding the pair of nakeds and you should be golden.
