Clownfish behavior question

Hi,

i was hoping some of the clown fish experts could provide me some help.

Here's the situation:
I have 2 juvenile maybe? clownfishes, 1 is an ocellaris and 1 is a picasso perc. They have been together for just about a year now, and nver have had any issues with one another. They were removed from the display tank for while for an ich outbreak, and before they went to QT they were hosting a RBTA. well after the treatment and fallow display period was complete neither of them went into the RBTA. The occy is maybe 1.5 inches- 2inches and the picasso is approx 1/2 imch smaller. i have seen them do the charge and submit dance a lot.... but

Just recently the perc decided it was time to host the nem again, and ever since the bigger occy has become super aggressive toward him. this has been going on for about a week now, and the perc now has some damage to his tail, and one of his pectoral fins.

Is this normal or do you think I will have to get rid of one of them? the strange thing is that I have seen the bigger occy do the seizure submit thing to the smaller perc, but then continues to attack. The occy wont go into the nem and it is the percs place of refuge now... Just wondering how much time I should give them before i have to decide all is lost and get rid of one of them?

Thanks

Tough call. During the ich treatment, were they together in a different tank? If they were seperated, how long was it for? Perculas and ocellaris are in the same family of clowns that can mate with each other, so that shouldn't be an issue. Just like I have a cinnamon female and a tomato male that are living in a condy. I'd give it some more time unless the percula sustains more damage.
Good luck.

Thanks, for the response, I really dont want to have to get rid of one of them but if it means the health of one of the fish then one's gonna have to go......

The fish were together their entire time in QT, and have been together since I introduced the perc.

Guess I wil lgive them some more time and hoepfully they will work it out, although last night when the lights went out it seemed like the aggression got worse....

So I picked up a breeders net tonight and put the occy in there, and the perc is now out and about swimming throughout the tank, something that I haven't seen him do in a week or so... now that he is out his tail fin and pectoral fin are pretty torn up, it was hard to see cause he was always in the RBTA. even the occy has some fin damage, guess I will give them some time apart and see how they react. the perc has not gone too close to the breeders net but every time the occy sees him she goes crazy, and seems ****ed.... guess its time to just see how the next few days goes... Thanks for the suggestions.
