Clownfish Laying Eggs, Caught on Tape!

Okay, this is the first time I've observed it in my tank, so I'm really excited about it! :bounce3:

My mated Clownfish are laying eggs, as we speak! Not only that, but I was lucky to catch them on video and to take several photos.

I'm attaching what there's room to attach, just to share my excitement!

Oh, I have a video clip of the fish, but I'm not sufficiently computer savvy to upload and attach it. If someone can tell me how to do it, then I'll be glad to share the 90 sec. video. It's spectacular!

I've actually never done it myself. The only fish I've raised have been African cichlids, and their parents did all the work. I would get Joyce Wilkerson's book on clownfishes (do a search on Amazon and it should be the first hit) and also visit the Fish Breeding Forum. Some of the posters here may also be able to help you. Good luck and keep taking pictures!

To get your little vid up, make a youtube.com account. Then, upload the video to there like you did the pictures to reef central, and then when its finished bring the link here. =)

I'd love to see that!

 Congratulations. The first batch usually ends up being eaten, so don't worry if it happens. If you want to learn more about rearing clowns, pick up Joyce Wilkerson's Clownfish book.
