Clownfish list and pictures: Discussions, picture links, etc.

Ohh, woops. I saw your post where you confused on a hybrid, I believe it was the mocha clown, and thought you where confused on some of the names being given. To be honest I am confused on some of different names being given to the same clowns, the only difference being which facility they came from. Well thats enough space taken up by me, just wanted to clarify.

carry on...

Any chance we can get our list and pictures thread updated? This thread completed would really be a great resource.

hi i have just had a wipeout of fish with ich im going to leave my tank fish free for 3 months to make sure any parasites have died off, but after the 3 months im thinking about putting a few nems in tank along with some Maroon clowns to see if they breed what advice can you give me on nem selection. My tank is a juwel vision 450 bow front tank with a 100 litre sump with miracle mud and chaeto and skimmer. Thanks

Very nice magnifca

They like it high on the rocks with high light and strong current.

Looks like this one has all three and a clownfish!

Presently have two red rose bubble tips at five to eight years old with a 10 year old pair of mated Tomato Clownfish. Mrs. Tomato just laid a batch of eggs and she raced across the 60 inch 120 tank from the bubble tips on the left end to my hand in the right end to give me a nip. Her nips draw blood.

One True Carpet going on two years who lost its Clarkii hosting in it due to a Pimafix killing. When I keep anemones, I almost feel that I am obliged to have at least one Clownfish hosting in them.

I am in the process of setting up a 29 gallon tank with live rock, crushed coral, a bank of 4 X 31 watt T5 HO from Coralife onto a metal stand with room for a 20 long or another 29 on the bottom for raising fry. Right now I have one 1 1/4" Gold Bar Maroon tank raised.

I did think of trying an ORA cross between a Maroon and some other clown.

Any thoughts or should I go with the Gold Bar Maroons for breeding?

If you still need pics I get my new camera tomarrow once done over next few days on tank maintenace I got Clarkii's , Fancy oc's mated pair think they actually true percs though lfs called them fancy oc's if not true percs I do have percs in a 55. So if need those for your thread shoot me a message I'll get them for you. after do my round of maintenace which takes a few days.

Nice looking Saddlebacks. I have been admiring them at Petco recently.

My personal choice is to keep all my clownfish with anemones.

When I see my 10 year old pair of regular spawning Tomato clownfish sleeping in the anemone at night, there is something that tells me that they are happier than without an anemone. I also believe that a happier clownfish pair will result in healthier and higher quality offspring.

Likely similar to Balloon Ram Cichlids, bred like stubby clowns. They lose some vertebrae and suffer from health issues. I'd stay away.
