Great start.
You might want to give your drain/overflow a second thought.
Its going to flood your house soon or later. I would be very caution about it.
I would look into getting a reliable overflow box or have the tank drill.

Im actually drilling this weekend, i just picked up a temporary 100g tank so i can store my water while i replumb everything.

Was able to get to some of the new plumbing, not complete but a good bit of progress nonetheless. And boy is it tight quarters with this 40Breeder, so careful assembly /tolerances are making it go so slow but I want to keep as much of the little workspace that I have left useable. Here's some progress pics

It always kills me when I see nice pristine white plumbing and purple primer running all over it. I often wonder if people realize they make clear primer and glue?

I suspect many are not aware of the clear primer, I know it was quite some time before I became aware of it. I chuck that one up to availability or I should say lack thereof at homedepot/lowes/similar. I wasn't concerned with it on mine knowing that, I'll be painiting all the exposed plumbing black(the bulkhead connections are just dry fit at the moment). I'm wanting the rear plumbing to just disappear in the shadow once I reposition the system back in its home. I expect I'll be able to paint the later part of this week, weather permitting. I'll be sure to post some updated photos once complete.

Thanks. I still have plans to make a small black acrylic overflow lid but other items are taking priority at the moment obviously.
