clowns and clams

I have a pair of gold stripe maroon clowns, they have been together roughly 8 months. They are in my 120. I also have a large, 8" long, clam, and a 14" blue haddoni. I know haddonis are not the natural host for the maroon clowns but after reading about maroons hosting just about any anemone thought it was worth a try.

However after a month the clowns have moved from living in a cave to sleeping on my clam at night. They dont beat it up and the clam is still opening just fine. The clam doesnt even close up when the clowns 'lay' on it. Do I need to try to deter the clowns from the clam to prevent an issue or should I leave them until its an issue?

Ill try for a picture tonight. I tend to be really bad at pics.

It may be cool but I paid alot for the anemone and I would like the clowns in it and away from the clam.

they will take to a bta no problem as I had them with one for a few months. However I wanted a carpet so it came out. I am hoping they will take to it as the maroon and yellow fish in the blue carpet would look fantastic, if not the clowns will go into my futur FOWLR and I will get new clowns.

They do the dance regularly and she is blowing sand around but I have seen no eggs yet.

i have a maroon clown that goes in my derasa clams he loves them

I had a female maroon that did this with a derasa. It was pretty funny. Derasa didn't seem bothered by it.
