Reefing On My Mind
Team RC
So yeah... A couple of days ago, I had lost my damn tweezers... Still haven't found them... But while I was looking for them, I discovered my second GSM had not perished, but had jumped in the overflow... I have it covered with eggcrate, so did not think to look back there... I'm still not sure how he got in there!!! It has been there since the wedding, so say about 3 1/2 months... :) He's nowheres near skinny and is doing fine... Though the female isn't too happy with him coming back... :D

Oh, and I stole these pics from CTARS (CT Aquarium/ Reef Society)... I thought they were funny... The guy had a problem with his clowns hosting his clam... :)

Whats wrong with hosting a clam :) Looks pretty cool to me. Gratz on finding your fish in the overflow... a bit of a surprise I'm sure!

A lot of times the clown will irritate the clam so that it stays closed... If the clam won't stay open and filter for nutrients and absorb lighting, it will die...

Yea! holy crap...That is so weird. But yet cool too. Couldn't the clam close up and kill the clown?

I suppose it could but I sure hope not!

Glad you don't mind me borrowing your pics... They were just too classic not to share... :D Does the Elegence mind the clowns hosting it???

The elegance doesn't seem to mind too much but they have just started nesting in it so time will tell. Hopefully, they won't rub it too much!

PS. Only the last two pics are mine. The first two belong to a cop so you might be in trouble for borrowing

Mine started hosting my Duncans... Had to take the Duncans out and put them in another system... :)

I'll be sure to apologize to him when I'm up there in Sept!!! :D

My little male maroon hosts in a red mushroom. I keep waiting for it to try and close up on him and eat him. :D

My big female used to host in the hair algae on the back wall and knock off any snails that tried to eat it. The water quality has improved and the hair algae is gone now. She never picked a new host after that.

Visiting or just passing through? :)

Visiting... My cousin will be getting married... My hometown is Orange, CT, just outside New Haven... Any LFS worth going to see besides Puppy Center???

No, say sorry now, and pay me.. LOL..

No problem. Be sure to say hello when you come through... :D

You can check out (BOB's Fish & Coral) in Milford..

I stopped in at Bob's and wasn't all too impressed when I was up for Christmas... He was openning the new warehouse down the road then though... Didn't make it to check that out... I guess he had a lot of his nicer livestock there... :)

Thanks... :) I've got that page bookmarked already... :D But nothing helps like fellow reefer's feedback... Will save you a trip across the state... ;)
