clowns changing color

6 months ago I bought 3 tank raised percula clowns that were raiesed on farms under the solmon island suns. They were orange with a lot of black on them. A month after adding these I brought home one more clown that was just a regular tank raised percula with no color what so ever. 3 months into combination of clowns the non-soloman island clown turned the exact same color as the others.
Why is this?
I thought they had to have sometype of uv light to do this?

Thanks,

I don't think UV light has anything to do with it. You didn't mention anything about whether or not you have any anemones in the tank. How much black my percs have depends on what type of anemone they are in. S. gigantea gives them the most and deepest black they are genetically capable of. In H. crispa they keep most of their black. In BTAs the black fades almost completely. Based on pictures from the wild, I would assume that percs tend to lose their black when in H. magnifica as well.
