That is fantastic, but unfortunately I fly out Sunday to Dallas for the week. I generally leave out on Monday's and would have tried to work around it if I had more time, but hopefully it works for most of the others.....thanks Marty for pulling a meeting together.

Hey guys, Marty is going to a lot of trouble to put this together in spite of the fact he really doesn't have the time to do it!!!

There should be more than five people to respond....come on...if he is willing to use his house AND get permission from his spousal unit...you should try and attend if you are available and want the club to succeed.

Don't be a :ape: let him know in advance if you can attend!

actually I will be in town on saturday for a little while ..I will be in the company of 3 others so not sure we should crash Marty's party. I can't be elected to any official position for the same reason I had to resign the last one ( I moved away) but I can vote on whoever is nominated.....I will however do all in my power to be available for the swap and serve in whatever capacity I am needed. I miss our old active group.

Marty: I was at Kermits today and they denied the club discount on a purchase I made. The gentleman at the front desk went and spoke to someone in the back (owner?) and came back saying they are suspending all club member discounts until the cards are issued? As stated above, I will be out of town for the meeting Sunday, so if you could either send me a card, or let me know if I can pick it up upon my return. Does Memfish give club discounts? To be Clear: Dave Cook has been NOTHING BUT SUPPORTIVE of the Club. The fact is: that the new Cards haven't been issued (an administrative issue), to my understanding, but I have not been "running" things. I'm merely standing in.

We'll sort this out.

What, you are going to let them railroad me out of my discount!!?? I have a group of 20-25 people that have been up all night making signs (down with LFS, boycott LFS, etc) and we have called the Commercial Appeal and Channel 5 with Joe Burch to meet us there today at noon for a protest. They promised to get this on the five o'clock news. This is probably the biggest problem in American right now...hold on it is the White House calling....(whaz up BO?....what that's.. the country could fall into a deep recession if you don't get the budget problem resolved?...wow that does sound like a problem....hey, does Michelle let you have an aquarium at the White House.....no...oh your are right, it would be hard to put one in the Oval Room with no flat walls...too bad..hey I would like to listen to more about this budget thing, but I have big problems of my own so I need to run..see ya BO...yes, I know you don't like it when I call you that....later)..okay where was I...

Okay, on a serious note, I was in no way slamming the LFS or the club. I was just passing a message to other members and an FYI to the club. If I never see a club card or ever get a discount it will not diminish my quality of life or my mental health. I think I would have gotten about a dollar off or something like that, and maybe could have afforded that slurpe at 7-Eleven on the way back to work. If you buy me a slurpe we will call it even...until then I have full faith that I will continue to fight GHA for the rest of my life and that you will get me a club card that I will not carry as I refuse to put anything else in my overstuffed wallet.

Dr. J: It should be your first item on the agenda on Sunday....and Marty is off to a good start, he picked the only Sunday in 2011 that I was not available to attend a meeting. I think the odds of 1/52 seem suspect......
