Club member debate: Haddoni or Gig?

A local club member purchased this carpet. There seems to be debate among members as to whether it is a haddoni or gig. It was just sold as "Blue Carpet."

To me this is haddoni all day long but I've been wrong once or twice in life before. Any feedback from the experts so we can put the debate to rest?

i think i can see the purple dots on the underside............ a gig in that case, unless its too translucent i can see the tentacle bases from the underside.....

Get a picture of the mouth, under the "skirt" and a close up of the tentacles and we should be able to give a pretty accurate ID. However, there are some carpets that are hard to tell from pictures, then when you see it in person, the ID is obvious.

That's what I've been trying to say. :D

I have not had the chance to get a pic, as the OP was being impatient. Distributor also ID'd it as a Gig.... Not that they're always 100% accurate, though.

Will snap some pics after I close the store tonight.

Better photos will help, try to fix that white balance if possible... or just turn all blues off.

Haha me impatient? That doesn't like me at all Ron :lol2:

There's no way to truly tell from that one pic. Gigantea look very much like a haddoni when not acclimated. A picture of the verracue will be the positive ID.
