This is your chance! CMAS will hold elections in November for a two year term as CMAS officers. We need lots of help to do all of the meeting planning and keep CMAS growing! Even if you just want to be on one of the committees to help us plan meetings and events, we need to hear from you........

We need your ideas, organization skills and enthusiasm, so send me a PM to let me know what you can do to help us!

In support of the vote early and often initiative, I'd like to propose a crazy idea.

Since meeting attendance has always been a challenge (and I'm no angel in this area), have you ever considered taking absentee ballots in lieu of physical attendance?

You know all registered CMAS members, you know all their email addresses...it would be fairly easy to accept a single vote from a single persons email address.

Have the candidates write up a quick blurb about themselves and what they want to accomplish, post it on CMAS so everyone can read. If voter anonimity is an issue, set up an email box for voting and have a non-CMAS person check it, tally the votes and give you two lists. One list with just who voted, the other with the totals for the candidates. (Heck, I'd volunteer for this part).

BTW, you didn't mention the date of the meeting. I know it's generally the third Saturday but a date would be good for people that don't know that.

Just a suggestion.....IMO, YMMV, etc...etc...
