Collinrb's 90Gal Mixed Reef

Addition to the filtration! I purchased a small 5g fuge (thanks Marc11 for the nice and easy) and got it all up and running within an hour.

Marc also had a slight battle commence in his holding tank. (Would they just ship a complete, not broken tank to you already?!) Where his clown decided the wrasse and firefish were no longer welcome. I gladly took them off his hands, seeing as I was about to have an empty 5g running. I will be bringing them back to health in the next couple months, and if he doesn't want them back, and I haven't gotten attached, they will be free to anyone

I also picked up an Aquabreed 1000 (super good price!) and it fits perfectly inside the stand. A bit of live food to kick off the healing process!

So a couple weeks ago, Chriskid got me on a dosing schedule. My SPS have been shooting down or up from the plugs! Here's a couple pics

My Red Planet encrusts onto the rock

And the new Red Dragon (a week or two old now) is reaching for the sky, and the starburst cap cannot be stopped

I also have noticed a TON of color coming back to the Meat Coral I bought.

This was a couple days in

And now, excuse the sand on him

yes I can.
cal 420-450
alk 8.4
mag 1300
NO3 4-6 (it refuses to climb higher)
pH 8.3

bi-weekly water change of 10g. mixed sw is normal io with mag dosed to 1300.
then I use my magnetic stirrer to mix myself an alk solution. 28g/gal of seachem alk powder/RO
I also use instant ocean calcium. (meeting raffles, ive yet to buy any)

so since mag is handled, I add 10ml of cal once a week. I add 15ml of alk solution every 3 days.

then a part of the schedule I see some people skip. I test mag, cal once a week and alk twice a week.

I test alk twice, because that happens to move down on me quicker as I add coral, and as coral grows

So my favorite fish just will not stop with his antics. Black Cap Jawfish has now taken it upon himself to grab anything that isn't glued down. The good news is, he takes his time and places them, then moves them slightly and so on.

And then he finally found his layout

What do you guys think? Move the frags back? Or let the underwater reefer do what he does haha

Figure'd I'd throw up a new FTS. Although, this was hours before the clear-out. Moved a bunch of stuff around, and will be mounting SPS from the frag rack today.

And here's my updated stock list:
Blue Eye Tang
Half Black Mimic Tang
Lyretail Anthias x2
Bangaii Cardinal x3
Linespot Flasher Wrasse
Red Head Solon Fairy Wrasse
Midnight Black Photon Clowns x2
Black Cap Jawfish
Bluespotted Watchman Goby
Scooter Blenny

And then down in the fuge we have the babies haha
Helfrichi Firefish
Purple Firefish
Yellow Clown Goby

Looks great, I love that the goby likes to have his picture taken!! That's so funny! Tank looks really good. I want to build an ATO cabinet as well. Right now I just have a Home Depot bucket next to the tank. I want something more finished to hide all the wiring and ATO reservoir. That spiral coral is sick!

If Collin wants to give him to you, you both will have to pry him out of my hands!! Haha sorry he's one of my favorites :)
