Comas Frag Tank

Come and get some folks! we have plenty of frags to move, lots of Montis and birds nest ready to go.

We also need to get a saw and get some of the other's fragged up!

I have a atlantic meteor shower cyphastrea frag that has grown out and is ready to return to the program. The green one is much slower grower but should be ready to return soon as well. I will be all square with the program then :)

OkR33Fer, can you explain for some of us recent newbs what the frag tank is for and how it works?

I am planning on signing up for my COMAS membership at the next meeting, and am curious myself.

Thank you!

Sure, frags from the club tank are available for members to take for free to grow in their tanks at home. All we ask is that when it grows to a fragable size, that a new frag is returned to the club's tank. We do keep track of who takes what and who returns what. We try to keep in on a honor system, if you take one, return one... As you can see there are all sorts of frags available in our system, lots of sps currently and a nice overall selection.

I can grow and maintain pretty much any coral, just please don't ask me it's name as I probably won't know it! ;-)

Lol! Do they offer any frag training? Prob a crazy question to you, but a concern for someone like myself who is just learning. :)

Absolutely! We can help with husbandry skills and teach you how to care for various corals along the way, that's what the club is here for as a whole. To help spread and increase the knowledge about our hobby.

Some phone pictures.
