Completely new , need help / fish friends!

Hi, I used to have a tropical fish tank when I was little girl, but lately, I've been wanting to make one of my own and start from scratch.

What size tank do you recommend? And what are the best items I should put in the environemnt?

I have always loved tetras, I would like to know, are they good for beginners to take care of?

I keep hearing horror stories of beginners getting fish that die right away, and that cannot happen here!!!!

Do you want freshwater or saltwater? Tetras are freshwater.

You need to find a freshwater site. These forums are for saltwater systems, and most people probably don't know much about freshwater. I don't.

Anyhow.
Get any size tank you want as long as you can fit it.
Buy some filters, cycle the tank and you are good to go.

tetras aren't saltwater though.
