Condy Anemone

I bought a beautiful condy anemone. I have heard many negative things about them but, i bought one and i love it, it is beautiful. So, my question is- Can i keep more than one condy anemone in one tank? I have a 14 gal that only contains one clownfish. I would love to have one more condy. Is it ok/recommend?

the first question should be: Why did you want a condy anemone in the first place? They will try to kill your clownfish and they sting corals. Save up your money and buy a bubble tip. Sorry i just really hate condys:D :p

A condy might try to kill your clowns. Personally, I think they are a cool nem. Mine looked like an orange footed Mag until I froze him. It's unlikely that your clown will take to it but it has happened. They do wander and I know mine would try to eat anything it touched.

I've heard that they can get big but I've never seen a large one. If it were me, I'd let the first one grow a bit then see about another....or you could wait for someone to reply who knows more about condys.

I'm not trying to have my clown host it, that is not why i bought it. I bought it because it was a beautiful anemone. I saw a white one with pink tips and i wanted another one. I hope someone knows if i can keep two Condys together in a 14g?

I wouldn't keep 2 in a 14, they will get too big.

Plus, a white one is a bleached one. Assuming that it recovers it won't stay white, most likely will become a tan color.

Can condy's Bleach? I thought I had read that they don't reallyphotosynthesise. Mine was orange footed with white arms and purple tips. It's pigment never changed

I have a condy and an LTA both in same tank ( I love em both). I would imagine you can keep two condys together, although your tank would be to small in my opinion.

Here in Brazil it's preety common seeing two condys in the same tank. There's no problem. I know it's difficult, but clowns do enter condy anemone and they don't die. I've seen several condys hosting tomatoes, maroon and even perculla clowns.

I wasn't against adding another one because it would be two in the same tank (( Heck I have 2 Haddonis in my 75, and 2 in my 58 )). I was just against putting 2 of them in a 14 gallon tank.

I just bout a candy anenome cause it was only $6.99. If they are alot of trouble I will try and get rid of it. I was attempting to resque it from pet co

It really depends on your tank. If it's a fowlr, a condy is great. They add alot of color and there is nothing it can really hurt. If you have a reef, they can be a problem.

not realy many corals yet but was planning on it. looks like I am going to try and find a new home. i also currently have a gbta but it just isn't colorful
