Cool Fish on Diver's Den

That Angelfish is a Hybrid according to the listing.

Tigerpyge Hybrid Angelfish

Centropyge flavissima x C. eibli

Ha, yeah I can read what it says. It doesn't look like a Tygerpyge that I have seen for sale before either through DD or elsewhere. It looks more like a variant flavissima x vrolikii similar to this:

it lacks the stripes like the one in the video below

+1 thats not a Tygerpyge and if it is I would label that as "D", I myself would want a AAA grade

I think this could be a variant of Opistognathus variabilis. I would be tempted if they had more of them, but alone it's no go.

Opistognathus castelnaui

Great fish I have one..
I had not seen any for a very long time but the last few weeks a I have seen a few. Pretty Rare but not to expensive.

Once settled in they get a nice red head and the rest get much darker.
They also do nto seem to be the jumpers allot of jawfish are once settled.

It is only 1.5", so who knows how it could change. I think they get a slight green tint to them as they age. They can turn out really cool like this one:

To each his own....

The look on that green one's face: "Seriously...can you please just put me back in the water...."

What kind of trigger is this??? That is awesome looking!!

Queen Triggerfish (Balistes vetula)

A 2 footer with a bad attitude.

That's my kinda fish! Haha

They have a tiny clown trigger on there now. Maybe I'll start with that and see how it goes.

You realize that those tiny clown triggers get almost two feet in length, about a foot in height and about half a foot in width, right?

On top of that it is one of the most aggressive with a habit of redecorating his tank to his liking.

So you're saying they're not reef safe??? haha j/k

I have a pretty decent sized predator tank now with a niger trigger, harlequin tusk, Queen angel, & porcupine puffer.. my last fish is coming out of QT now so I want to get my last fish for the tank, which is going to be a clown trigger. I want a juvenile to hopefully keep him from becoming a serial killer as he gets older.

I think it's more a matter of when, not if, the clown trigger will decides he doesn't want tank mates anymore.

That's what I've been reading. I've done a lot of research and it seems like for every one person I find that has had a peaceful one there's 20 other people saying they ate all their fish and/or chewed up their power cords. I'm still mulling it over if I want to give it a try. A local guy here has one in his mixed reef tank. That's too risky for me.

All of my fish now are juveniles. The queen angel is the biggest and she's definitely the meanest. Although she's been a lot more mellow lately. I'm hopefully going to be picking up a Humu trigger today. Ever since I went snorkeling in Hawaii and seen those guys swimming all around, I've wanted one.
