Wow! Nice! Is this a captive bird?

No, wild bird. Came in and landed in my back yard right near the house. My guess is that it was after a rabbit that hangs out in that spot, or was trying to bag a bird. I have feeders in the back and lots of birds, rabbits and squirrels. First time one has come this close to the house though, an adult to boot (I believe a female based on its large size).

Nice shots. We have Coopers and Red Tails here. Bald Eagles are making a comeback also. This is a heck of a crop, but found this one today.

jroovers - Man you are killing me with these good bird shots. I want the weather to heat up a little bit so I can get out and stalk a few birds this weekend. Did you take this through the glass?

I had a Bald Eagle hanging around my house for a minute....Two other birds pestered the s#*t out of him till he left.....
