Hey guys...first time poster...just wanna say that this site is amazing and glad I was referred to it by Bigmike...anyways, just had to share my good news. I bought my Copperband (names Milo) about 4 weeks ago and he's eatin all my aiptasia and feather dusters...but once those were gone I was quite concerned about his well being because I never saw him eat the frozen food or pellets my other fish do. However today...after days of trying...I got him to eat live black worms....very exciting hes my favorite fish:lolspin:

copperband butterflys are beautiful and some day I really want one! Congrats on getting him to eat I hear that can be tricky, definitely try to wean him onto some prepared frozen sometime soon though. The live black worms will work for now but you'll need to get him to eat more frequently with your other fish. I don't know if you have corals in your tank but a hungry copperband can really decimate the reef if he gets hungry!

If you got him on live black worms you should be able to ween him onto frozen mysis. Try frozen blood worms first then the mysis.

Yeah the plan is to feed him live worms for couple more days then ween the frozen ones in and hopefully he'll be eating with the rest of my buddies soon.

I have tried CBB's unsuccessfully in the past, only getting them to take live food and slowily starving. I told myself never again and have recommended people to avoid them. However, i was in a lfs about a month ago and saw one eating pellets so i got him; and he is doing well and eating aggressively with the other fish. My thoughts are that it is not the skill of the aquarist but his luck!!!
