And some of the maintenance you do to the system.
System maintenace:

Daily : Water movement control, equipments operation control, automatic trace elements addition (GroTech ABC), topping off automatically evaporated water, fish and corals visual control, feed fish and corals. Time spent: 10 minutes

weekly : Clean protein skimmers, cleaning algae off the viewing windows, clean salt spray on the edges of the tank, tests (calcium, magnesium and alkalinity), strontium addition, refill up kalk reactor, Spray Rizophoras with osmosis water. Time spent: 1 hour

Every two weeks: water changes about 5%, siphoning detritus, harvest algae from algae filters. time spent: 1 hour

Monthly: Test phosfates, clean and calibrate probes, refill up calcium reactor media, change activated carbon media, change resin anti-phos, clean kalk reactor, clean light reflectors and light protections from salt sprays. Time spent: 90 minutes

Every six months : Lamp replacement, pump maintenance, coral harvest / pruning. Time spent: variable

Also what ballast are you running your t5s on? are you overdriving them? Which reflectors are you using?
Electronic ballasts. No, I'm not overdriving ballasts. Most are Arcadia and I have some DIY.

I am also interested in the turf scrubbing system.
In the Rizophora tank I have algae filter with Caulerpa prolifera, C. taxifolia and some Chaetomorpha in mud substrate. I harvest algae from algae filters every two weeks.

Hi Machado, your tanks are awesome!!! you know that!!

do you have glass covers on the tanks??
I don´t realize about

by the way, you don´t want sell your frags, this is a good thought.
your frags look awesome in Vitor´s tank.

congratulations

see ya

Martin

Thanks for your words.
My tanks have no covers. Lamps have protections against spray salt.
My frags in Vitor's sunpowered tank are fine. They like to be there! Let's see them one year after.

I want to show you some details of my tanks, with pics taken by my friend Tiago Garcia (he and his camera make miracles...).
I begin with some of my clean up crew fishes. I thank them for keeping my tanks algae free (and I pay nothing,,,)

This is not a good close up selection but may be you can see "newborns". I'll post another ones with more details.

Those are good pictures and your setup is excellent. Many Americans don't see the how good T5s can be. Do you have any pics of one of your single polyp transfers, or are you in between generations while you set up new tanks?

Hi, Chris wright!

I am thinking of traveling to Australia in the next year to know your beautiful country and visit the worldwide reefs sanctuary. It's my dream. You live in a country blessed by God!

Cheers

Thank you for your words. Yes, baby corals that you can see the last two photos, belonging in the Nursery, are at a late reproduction stage and are well grown and will be changed to the new Day-care that I will begin to mount soon. I will have to start a new phase of the reproduction in the Nursery which will be recolonized and then I will show photos.

Cheers
