Hey Shawn: I am pretty deep into the organic side of the hobby being a Marine bio and Coral reef ecology teacher but the physics and math side put me to sleep in a nano second
In plain speak where are LED lighting systems in comparison to M/H
Do you think there is a need to run into the UV sectrum (the real UV not the one being marketed by a company that is still in the visable range)
and lastly without having to stay awake for too much math how do every day aquarists know what to buy if they wanted to keep sps corals at any particular depth.
There is so much tech talk about LED useage and without doubt some has to be there to speak clearly on the topic but too much is being done to double talk around older led limits that it creates a fog
can you help us anti math folks without dumbing it down too much
Briney
Hello. My friend.Peter,
How are you?
I and everybody here do miss you.
You're going to get Mr.Wilson into trouble. Not only does he own The Coral Reef Shop but he is also the Orphek rep for Canada. RC has pretty strict policies about self-promotion in the forums so people have to be careful about how they give out information.reefmutt said:I'm extremely interested in those LED pendants. I've never seen such a comprehensive mixture of wavelengths. Who makes them?
For those in the area who might have an interest, Mr Wilson is organizing a tank tour of our tank on Sunday.....interested parties should pm Mr. Wilson directly for details..........
Peter
Peter,
Its great to hear from you. I've been quietly following this for the last few months and love what I see it but you're a good 800 miles away and I won't be in the area till thanksgiving.
The biggest question I have is how do you like your lights?
Joe
Thanks for the offer Peter, wished I lived closer.
This tour could possibly cost me my mortgage but it definitely will be worth it.
