coralife ozone reactor

Benf,

Did you ever get the reactor working? If you have the inlet on the offset fitting then water will exit the middle fitting (the one with the center tube on it). The level of your water is regulated by the air outlet fitting, by allowing it to expel air unrestricted it will keep the water level between 1/3 and 2/3 full. By totally shutting the air outlet off it will keep the reactor full of air and almost empty of water. This is how it is shown to be set up in teh instructions (they are confusing). The air stone in the sump (at the end of the air outlet is to keep the noise level down on the exhausting air. To attach the airstone to the long rigid tube you must cut a small piece of the flexible tubing, just as you do for a skimmer air stone.

My question is, is it better to run ozone with the exhaust vavle fully closed, partially closed, or fully open? With it closed for the past 24 hours my max ORP reading is about 330 but then it dropped off. I have completed closed the air outlet and ORP is on the rise again. So it may be that completely closed is better for saturation of water. Any thoughts.

I just got this unit and I'm so confused

Ok so from just me looking at it.. It seems the off set 1/2 barbed fitting should be the input from tank/sump IN the reactor.. The middle would be the output.. The output being in the bottem to keep as much ozone out of the output right??..

Ok so then for the two 1/4" fittings.. One is the ozone in from the reactor.. The other is for a vent? The vent is suppose to have the short peice of rigid plastic pipe right? So I guess the vent is to keep the ozone from filling the entire reactor and pushing the water out? So while the reactor is running the first 2 or 3" of the reactor is full of air/ozone the rest is water?

Does all this sound right?.. It seems to make since to me that way... Your post helped alot Coralfish..

Coralife instructions always suck.. but I think these are some of the worst.. It would be nice if they atleast had a *** or something on there website.. Oh well Please let me Know if I have this thing setup right lol

Oh my goodness, this thread is almost 7 years old. :) We haven't sold these for about the same amount of time. It's been so long that I can't remember without seeing photos or having it in front of me.
