coraline on the glass

I noticed that if I point the power heads towards the back of the tank, the coraline algae does not grow on the front of the tank. I like the fact that I do not have to scrub the front anymore. As anybody noticed this?

Interesting. I have not noticed that. Coraline seems to grow everywhere for me.

Are you suggesting coraline prefers flow?

Coraline grow everywhere and fast if your tank chemistry is in great shape, since we tend to clean the front of the tank more often coraline doesn't have chance to grip yet so the back of the tank always seems like it has more. IMO

But since you are getting coraline, this is a good sign that your water chemistry is getting better.
