Could This be a Magnifica?

Hey guys, a local vendor recently got this in and they are claiming it is a Magnifica but I want to be sure it is before I take the ride out to them. What do you guys think?

Really!

That totally looks like a H. crispa to me. With a mag you would be able to see the base. It wouldn't be conforming to the substrate like this anemone is. It has nice purple tips, but they are pointed and not blunt a mags would be.
If they could get you a picture of the base, I am certain it would be white with lots of bumps.

It does look like the color of a Crispa. But the tentacles and mouth look like a Mag, even deflated. Staring at both right now.

Definitely a mag. Looks very similar to one of mine. It is on the bottom of the tank because it is sick.

The outermost edge of the oral disk, where the tentacles attach, look like that of a magnifica. To me, it's got characteristic "lip".

Tough ID. But it looks like the column is smooth, like a magnifica, so I'm leaning that way. A closer pic of the column could be helpful--anemone columns are the final word in ID, in my opinion.

Well looks like the general consensus points to a Magnifica but unfortunately I don't have the time nor the medication to treat it. I have another Mag in my DT or else I would take a chance but my current one is beautiful, healthy and huge, wouldn't want to jeopardize it.

BTW, for anyone that wants it, this is the store that has it in:

Tropical Island Aquarium
2112 Deer Park Avenue
Deer Park, NY, 11729
(631) 667 0795

Disclaimer: I don't work for them nor have I ever been there, I just figure I give everyone a fair chance to get such a beauty that is not commonly seen in this color morph.

If you get it, let us know how it's doing!

I applaud you for resisting the temptation to get another nem. Many of us are so passionate about nems that we oftentimes do crazy things -- buying a nem that is beyond saving, is overly expensive, we don't have a place to QT, tank too small for another nem, etc. -- when we find one that's available.
