count down for the new stream II's?

I fired up the 6105 yesterday without any noise. It still running inside my live rock bin along with the 6125. One of my pump used to make noise before but it went away after couple weeks...

If they are noisy something is likely wrong with either the front cover or how it is installed or the drive unit. They should be very quiet, quieter than any of the previous streams. The drive unit is suspended on a titanium alloy shaft that is pretty robust, about 1/8" thick and this is mounted in silicon bushings on either end. So far 20 6105 have been shipped to delaers in the US, we got 20 more this week and we started shipping those out yesterday. The 6205 and 6305 will follow soon, likely the 6205 will start to arrive in a month and the 6305 will start to arrive in December. All of the non controllable Stream 2's are in stock and readily available.

One of the two I installed was quiet. The first one I installed has a "humm" when it over 40% power. :( I did not really get a chance to realign it last night, but I will tak it out tonight and make sure everything it lined up correctly.

I remember we were talking about it. But i thought you are the Vortech man...

No, That was Sang :p I still have a pair though ;)

I have a bunch of pumps range from 6045, 6055, 6065, 6085, 6125, 6105 running in 3 55g drums as we speak. I want to see what kind of long term problem i will encounter beside paying for the electricity :D. I am waiting on the transformer for the 6205 then it will go into the bin as well.

Mark,

Give the pump a couple weeks after you check everything, if it is still noisy I will replace the drive unit.

i'm in line for a pair! can't wait much longer I've been waiting for months... and it is so close I can taste it. my corals need FLOW! right now 2x 6045 in a 190 aren't cutting it!

Just came home to find my 6105 on my doorstep - Thanks Tunze and Marine Depot! - I'm itching to set everything up but it will need to wait for Saturday :(

Going to put the 6105 in with my 2 6055's and make the tank smile :D
