I just got over 60 pounds of cured fiji and japanese live rock off of craigslist for only 40 dollars it was a great deal especially since I really didnt have that much in my tank because I had just recently set it up. I am very excited just wanted to share lol. On one of the rocks theres a nice purple anenome thats pretty cool also.

Its a free classifieds type thing: www.craigslist.ca then pick your city. There's a complete 55gal reef setup on there for $350 at the moment (in the Lower Mainland, BC). You can find some sweet deals there, just gotta check it OFTEN cause stuff goes fast!

what's the craiglist??

Its a site that you can post things for sale and it has some really good deals.Especially for saltwater tanks everyone is always breaking them down.

I GOT MY WHOLE SETUP FROM CRAIGSLIST.29 gallon but we thought it was 40 ACRYLIC TANK $60.CPR bak pak 60 fluval filter $60.40lbs of rock, saltwater for dummies,hydrometer,2 water conditioners, heater and a 55 gallon octogon acrylic tank he threw in free.i gave the tank to my neighbor so we coulg be in this together.

I check often myself and find people selling tanks for way too much money. God deals on corals though.

Gotta take advantage of opportunity when it knocks :)

that is a very good concept---along with "never throw any thing out";)

much to my wife's dismay:lol:

much of this is diy from deals from kijiji, garage sales etc etc, clearout sales from stores etc etc

How do you know the rock is from japan.I think i have heard that most of the corals form that region are hard to impossible to get . the rock has to be the same
