CRAP! I think i have dino! HELP!

I've had this for about a month now. I can't raise my pH enough to kill it. I've been dosing H202 at 1mL/10g for two weeks now. It won't DIE! Should I do a 3 day blackout? Will it affect my corals? Please help.

If it is dinos. You have to raise the Ph. It worked for me. Get some kalk

The tank is still new and dinos are common. Let it run it's course. Keep up on the water changes.

I've heard Dino's aren't something to mess with and should be eradicated ASAP.

Anyways, tank has been covered for 24 hours now. I took the sheet off to feed for a few minutes but no one ate... Is it ok if they go hungry for 3 days?

Amazes me there's always a debate about whether someone has this or not. You'll know. Dino's are pretty toxic. Corals will shrink away, snails will die, etc. And if that's happening, than I would not just wait for it to go away. Take immediate action. Start the blackout tomorrow.

Did you recently start carbon dosing or bio pellets? I only ask because I have a theory....

exacty! Squishy and sometimes grow looooooong. They are filled with large air bubbles.

No coral shrinkage or snail death as of yet... There are many different kinds right?

No carbon or bio pellets.

We didn't lose any corals or snails when we had dinos. We've also never carbon dosed.

I didnt either but you could see the animals in the tank react negatively to it when they came into contact. If it doesnt appear to be toxic than I would breathe a sigh of relief and not worry as much. Don't think I would be very aggressive if it's something not even harmful to my animals.

I only bring up the carbon source thing because I've noticed a strong correlation browsing though the stories. Easily over 50% of cases i came across had started it within a week.

I'll be turning on the lights on Wednesday night for a total of 72 hours of blackout. I won't be feeding until then.

if you are going to use peroxide for it we recommend taking the amount of peroxide you would normally add and actually injecting it onto the organism underwater, this brief contact period is shown to be more effective than just broadcasting the tank where a full dilution is what touches the organism. This will amplify your peroxide effects without upping the dose, get a diabetic syringe or other injection methods that deliver a targeted stream. You'll be impressed how fast it works on dinos using this method.

Between blackouts, a true pH rise and a couple target squirts I think you'll beat it, you acted early before it really got your tank.
