craziest plate i've ever seen

For that price range you better have a great handle on your coral husbandry - I can't imagine how you would feel if something happened to a $760+ coral. It is incredible and have to agree with Rbs07fxstc....almost doesn't look real.

picture seems oversaturated. replace the blue with a greyish purple and turn down the intensity of the orange. Its nice but pic may not be representative.

Any body going to macna? says it will be on display...and gives a booth number. GO check it out, then if its fake we'd all know

I saw a plate from them at the new jersey frag swap and it actually looked like that picture. I dunno if it's the same one though. People were
Crowding around the booth to get a look. Asking
$900

I couldn't come off that kind of dough... Definitely looks like heavy photoshop, but I still don't have much doubt that it is an amazing piece... I'd give him $50... ;)

Yes I agree! Wes watch out for these on Ebay, rnegret258 or Cornbred is the same way, the item is nice but way oversaturated and hard to believe.

I saw it, it was certainly eye catching and pretty, but like everyone else at a frag swap they were blasting it with so much blue that the colors were wacky looking. So, unless you blast your tank with blue LED's it isn't lookng anything like that.

I've seen much better ones for sale around $400, way more colors and brighter even with all the blue led the orange didnt really pop. After seeing it in person maybe worh $3-500 to me mostly because it was really good sized.

Thanks Tom :) I have yet to buy corals on Ebay. I agree that a lot of the pictures are blasted with blue/actinic lighting and would not normally look like they do under normal tank conditions. I can't believe that plate sold for that much. I was thinking the seller wasn't even going to hit his reserve.

Rnegret is Cornbred. After seeing this plate at FJs booth and buying several corals from Cornbred and Jason Fox at MACNA, I dont think the pics we see online are all that far off. Yes, they are photo'd under blue light but I feel the photos are representative when you see it in person under the same blue light.

may I suggest posting a downloaded jpg to a third party site and posting that link in here? just so that your thread can be relevant long after that pic is taken down from ebay. something like this is informative for people later on when it comes to pricing, etc.
